In the past couple days, we have all learned about the passing of Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Beau Biden. Beau’s passing comes relatively quickly after the brain cancer diagnosis, which he received less than two years ago. This has been a tough blow to the Vice President. In a recent article, Joe Biden shares a little of his family’s past.

When Joe Biden first won the Senatorial election decades ago, he was working when he learned his wife and his infant daughter were killed in a car accident. Beau and Biden’s other son were both involved in the accident as well, but survived. Joe showed such strength and resilience at the beginning of his political career with this tragic loss.

Today, Joe Biden has the same strength and steadfastness in his life.  Beau’s passing is tragic, especially because he leaves behind young children, and assuredly hard for the Vice President to take. I am sure he will do as he always has, which is use his faith and ability to find good in every setback. PurinaStore also reports that his actions in these times of great sadness give all of us hope to overcome, even when it seems all is lost.
